1st Friday

Robot Evolution

7th July,
From 18.30 at Marine Studios

From building simple cell robots to add to a swarm and watching the patterns begin to build to more complex multi-functional robots which can be programmed to perform a quadrille or react to obstacles.

Robot Evolution has been designed to invite everyone to have a go at building and understanding robots. Whether its programming, racing, decorating or soldering this suite of playful activities is aimed at encouraging everyone to be part of the revolution which is already changing our daily lives.

Robot Evolution will be part of the Maker Faire and Conference in Singapore in 2017: here's a chance to see it early and help the development of the workshop.

More about 1st Fridays

The world’s fascinating, but we can all get stale. So join our community of the curious.

We put on events because we’re curious about the world and we believe that events bring communities together.

We’ve run 1st Fridays most months since November 2009.
Previous 1st Friday events have included performances, book launches, films, exhibitions, talks, installations and even picnics.

If you’d like to stage a 1st Friday (particularly if it touches on the link between science and art) just drop us an email.
